The Institution’s Innovation Council of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Seat of Women Empowerment, Ranked No. 1 College in India by India Today Ranking, 2019 (various categories) has been  awarded ‘Gold Star’ by MHRD’s Innovation Cell (Govt. of India), for its commitment and dedication in organising various activities to promote entrepreneurial and innovative culture among the students.

KMV is also privileged to be selected among the few institutes all over the country by MHRD’s Innovation Cell (Govt. of India) to organise Impact Lecture Sessions. The Impact Lecture Sessions will be organised by Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at KMV to encourage the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in young minds. The lectures will focus on a wide variety of topics and help in building a broader understanding of new forms of innovation and analysing the key challenges posed to entrepreneurs. The experts in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation will be invited to address some of the critical issues faced by entrepreneurs like business-plan writing, design thinking, funding one’s own venture, risk management, financial analysis, opportunities of innovation and entrepreneurship available in certain sectors, etc. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi applauded the efforts of  IIC at KMV for this outstanding achievement. She also highlighted that impact lectures will improve the key competence of entrepreneurship and lead to more innovative behaviour among students. She further emphasised that it would help the students to display creativity and come up with new ideas and will be able to put them into action.
