First in Punjab in Science, BCA & Fashion Designing Programs

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Jalandhar has received Top National and State Level Ranking in India Today survey of best colleges 2021. It has the proud privilege and honor of being ranked First among the colleges of Punjab in various categories. KMV is miles ahead of other educational institutions in the region in terms of quality, ranking and new age education that has been introduced in the college. Throwing more light on this singular achievement, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that being the first & only women college to be bestowed autonomous status, KMV has entered the higher league of colleges and has also introduced many reforms in education. KMV has added another feather in its highly embellished cap by laying claim to top  ranking in courses like BCA, Fashion Designing, Journalism & Mass Communication, BBA& B.Sc. Revisiting the glorious success this year yet again , the college has been ranked First in Punjab in BCA, Science& Fashion Designing. The journalism & mass communication and fashion designing program has been included in top 10 colleges (including government and private) of India for lowest fees category. Fashion Designing program has also been ranked 3^rd for best value of money. BBA, Commerce & Arts programmes of KMV have been included in top rated programmes of India. Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi further maintained that such top rankings bear testimony to the fact that KMV is the brand name of quality education. The syllabi of all courses has been upgraded with 21st century skills. New Age innovative job-oriented programs with focus on skill development and effective international programs with option to study in foreign universities after one or two years of study at KMV has been initiated. With a commitment to meaningful futures KMV prepares the students for life skills with programs like Foundation Course, Moral Education, Personality Development, Social Outreach, Gender Sensitization, Self Defense, Reasoning & Mental Abilities. These value- added programs are compulsory for all the students in different semesters and their grades are included in Detail Mark Cards. All these USPs have been instrumental in making KMV the top- ranking college across Punjab. Moreover, KMV has utilized the digital technology to its maximum for its various teaching & learning endeavors. At this juncture Principal KMV congratulated faculty, staff & alumni for their exemplary endeavorand hard work which has accounted to this singular achievement. Prof. Dwivedi expressed gratitude to the management ably led by Mr ChanderMohanfor their constant guidance & support. She averred “The academicians from India & abroad and our industrial partners have helped us in upgrading the syllabi according to the 21^st century skills. Rightly have we been selected among the Top Colleges of India for the 3^rd consecutive year.” Mr ChanderMohan, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal was jubilant and congratulated the Principal, faculty and students of this glorious heritage institution and maintained “KMV has opened pathway to the best standard in education& deserves to be ranked no. 1 year after year, I am proud to be the president of KMV”. It is pertinent to mention that in the last two year ranking of India Today Survey of Best Colleges, KMV was declared No 1 College in India &Punjab in various categories. Madam Principal concluded by saying that KMV- the Heritage & Autonomous institution  by being ranked the Topmost college in Punjab under various categories has given yet another opportunity to the city to feel proud of.
