Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated Ambedkar Jayanti with full zeal and enthusiasm to commemorate the 131^st birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The celebrations were organised jointly by Department of Student Welfare, PG Department of English &PG Department of Journalism & Mass Communication. The celebrations were organised in order to disseminate the ideology of social equality of Dr. B.R. Ambedkaramongst the students. On this occasion, various activities such as seminar, quiz competition & declamation were organised for the students. Principal Prof.Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi addressing the students encouraged them to take inspiration and lessons from the life journey of Dr. Ambedkar. They were told that despite facing so much oppression and deprivation, Dr. Ambedkar excelled in all domains and attained huge stature across the globe and also contributed immensely to create the Constitution of India. Enthusiastic students from the different departments participated in the event. The studentsnamely Aarzoo, Agam, Yukta, Tania & Aanchal highlighted the multitudefacets of Dr. B.R Ambedkar’s life Journey. His contributions as a Social Reformer, Democrat, Economist, Constitution Maker, Political Activist, Intellectual& a Leader of down-trodden etc. were well stated by the students.Madam Principallauded the efforts ofthe faculty members for successfully organising this event and encouraged the students to follow the social and political thoughts of Dr Ambedkar.
