KMV is the first college in the region to introduce Moral Education Program
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)has introduced Moral Education Program, a unique program to create awareness about moral values and ethics. KMV is the first institution to introduce this programin its curriculum as a value-added program for semester IIundergraduate students.Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, Principal, KMV initiated the inaugural talk on the Aim of Education. Addressing the students she averred that education aims at preparing young minds to educate themselves throughout their lives not just to grab degrees but focus on building their character and personality. While explaining the topic with many suitable, meaningful and interesting examples she said that the character of a person was the reflection of the thoughts, feeling, emotions, habits’ and actions he carried throughout his life. It is pertinent to mention that this Moral Education Program is intended to be the primary step to fulfil a long-felt need and provide the missing link in the present education curricula. The course aims at bringing about a perceptional transformation among the students, by initiating a process of self-exploration and motivating them to tread the righteous path. Value-based living & ethical human conduct is inculcated through this course, where students learn the value of mutual Co-operation and harmony. This innovative experiment is a crucial academic input for the institution. Thus, this course is intended to provide a much-needed orientational input in Moral Education to the young inquiring minds.All these innovative & first of its kind Value-added Programs at KMV are instrumental in evolving the students as an excellent global citizens.Erudite resource persons from faculty will also deliver talks and lectures on various significant topics during the course of this program. Madam Principal lauded theefforts of Dr. Shalini Gulatifor implementing the program successfully.
