KMV organises a two day national seminar on the Concept of Ideal Society in Vedas

Kanya MahaVidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a two-day national seminar on the concept of ideal society in Vedas. The seminar was organised jointly by Department of Sanskrit & Maharishi SandipaniRashtriya Veda Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain. In the inaugural session of this online seminar, Prof. Shivani Sharma, Chairperson, Department of Philosophy, Panjab University, Chandigarh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Along with this, Dr. VirupakshaJaddipal, Maharishi SandipaniRashtriya Veda Vidya Pratishthan, Ujjain along with Prof. Rajeshwar Mishra, Kurukshetra attended the event as keynote speaker. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcomed the esteemed guests and averred that with such brainstorming on academic forums, India will certainly be able to uphold the responsibility of spreading the message of world peace and the concept of ‘Vasudev Kutumbakam’ once again at the world level. Prof. Rajeshwar Mishra, in his statement, gave examples of various mantras of Vedas and clarified the context of Vedas for social awareness along with making the goal of social life. Prof. Shivani in her address said that India has certainly followed a rich Vedic social culture for thousands of years and even today it is found in our society and relations, but the present society, overwhelmed by the materialistic life, has many challenges. Maharishi Sandipani joined from Rashtriya Veda Vidya Pratishthan Ujjain Prof. Virupaksha, while highlighting the work being done by this institution for the promotion and dissemination of Vedic literature, said that great men, intellectuals and great geniuses from all over the world have sought to take human life from the Vedas to higher dimensions in the material world and beyond. Prof. Lekhram, Former Head, Department of Sanskrit, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar shared his views on the relevance of Vedas in our everyday life. After the three technical sessions of the day, 80 research papers were also presented in the seminar. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Neeraj Sharma, Head, Department of Sanskrit for successfully organising the seminar.
