More than 150 Students Participate with full zeal & enthusiasm

 

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2021 (various categories) organised an onlineVanMahotsavWeek in order to make students aware about the environment and conservation of biodiversity. The event was held online in which students from all the streams participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. The event was organized by the Department of Environment Science. More than 150 students of various stream of college and collegiate participated in the same. During the whole week, students planted different useful plants in their home garden & pots. The major plants species that were planted consists of ficus, medicinal and ornamental plants etc. Plantation and maintenance of plants help reduce pollution, improve air quality and improve surrounding with green ambience. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV from time to time keeps on organising such meaningful activities so that the students can be made aware about their responsibility towards environment conservation. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of the students and Mrs Sadhana Tandon Head, Environment Science, Ms. Sufalica Kalia  for sensitising the students and making the event a big success. She asked the students to connect to such initiatives in future too.
