Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories) & Outlook Magazine has a very large & green campus. It is a place where the gateway is decorated with the ablution of pristine white idol of goddess of learning with showers of water in her glory and respect, where the verdure smells of heavenly earthiness, and the roses sway to the rhythm of the cool breeze. KMV houses a variety of flora from huge trees to lovely flowerets and is also home to the national bird peacock. The most of 35 acres of land is covered with flora. The colours of the vibrant flowers are reflected through the faces of the students. Throwing more light on the beauty of KMV, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that the beauty of KMV campus is cherished among all and is well known around the globe. This is never more evident than in the winter, when flowers are in full bloom across the campus. One can see beautiful flowers planted in the lush green rose gardensshining gloriously under the sun. KMV has a very green & beautiful campus which is the need of the day.The sprawling botanical garden at KMV is a home to many trees and plants, including various indigenous herbs and medicinal plants. KMV also has a lotus pond with beautiful lotus flowers blooming in it. KMV also is one of the rare colleges in the whole country housing a ‘Mor Bagh’where one can witness peacock dancing and throbbing joyously. The peacocks make it a point to freely frolic in the campus also much to the pleasure of students and faculty members. The old banyan tree also stands majestically in the hostel premises with a poem dedicated to it. Prof Dwivedi further maintained that Environmental protection is the most effective way to overcome problems caused due to pollution and this is possible mainly by planting more trees and by conserving water apart from controlling the factors that cause pollution. Besides planting and nurturing of trees, students should also be motivated to save water as they have also regularly been participating in tree plantation drives to spread awareness in the city.
