Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P.G. Department of Physics, has once again brought distinction to the institution with the selection of Sheetal, a student of Semester- III, Five-Year Integrated Programme (FYIP) in Physics, for a prestigious international research visit to the Budapest Neutron Centre, Hungary. The research visit is being undertaken under an international academic collaboration, providing Sheetal with an opportunity to gain first-hand exposure to advanced research facilities and contemporary scientific practices at one of Europe’s significant neutron research centers. A particularly noteworthy aspect of this achievement is that the entire research visit is fully funded under the collaboration, covering airfare, accommodation, and visa expenses. Such an opportunity at the undergraduate level reflects the growing emphasis of the KMV on nurturing young researchers and facilitating meaningful international academic exposure for its students.Expressing her gratitude, Sheetal acknowledged the supportive academic environment at KMV, and the encouragement received to explore research opportunities beyond the classroom. The achievement further highlights KMV’s commitment to research-oriented education, international academic collaborations, and student-centric opportunities in emerging areas of science and technology. Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, congratulated Sheetal on this remarkable achievement and appreciated the efforts of the P.G. Department of Physics in creating meaningful research opportunities for students. She averred that Sheetal’s selection for this fully funded international research opportunity at such an early stage of her academic career stands as an encouraging example for the student community and reinforces KMV’s vision of empowering young learners through excellence in education, research and global scientific exposure. She further maintained that the P.G. Department of Physics continues to provide students with platforms that encourage scientific curiosity, experiential learning, and participation in research activities of contemporary relevance.
