Special Drive for Picking Plastic and MLP Waste in Collaboration with MC Jalandhar June 25, 2024

A special Plastic/MLP (Multi-Layer Plastic) collection drive was organized in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, with active participation from Fashion Science Department students and NSS volunteers. Equipped with gloves and bags, the team collected plastic waste from KMV College Road, dumping sites, Aman Nagar, Pathankot Chowk, and Doaba Chowk, while spreading awareness to make the city plastic-free. The collected waste was handed over to the Municipal Corporation for recycling. The initiative concluded with a lecture by Mrs. Suman on waterborne diseases and preventive measures for illnesses like diarrhea and cholera.
