on the topic

“Role of Emerging Technologies in Smart Education.”

The session was delivered virtually by

Dr. Prabhdeep Singh

, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun.

Dr. Prabhdeep began by emphasising the growing importance of

Smart Education

in today’s academic ecosystem. Using practical examples, he outlined the core components of smart education and highlighted how advanced tools and technologies are essential for enhancing the teaching-learning process. He explained that smart education focuses on

constructive feedback mechanisms

to assess student performance, make predictions, and provide targeted recommendations for improvement.

The resource person elaborated on

four cutting-edge technologies

—

Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing & Big Data, Machine Learning,

and

Fog Computing

— explaining how each plays a vital role in creating intelligent and adaptive learning environments. He also discussed real-world applications of these technologies and encouraged students to develop

small-scale demo projects

to address real-life problems within college or university campuses using minimal resources.

A highlight of the session was Dr. Prabhdeep’s explanation of the

The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of
