From Jalandhar to Tirupati: KMV Young Scientists Steals the Spotlight at Global Science Meet April 21, 2025

The International Conference on Science, Technology and Applications of Rare Earth Elements (ICSTAR-2025) was recently held in Tirupati, bringing together leading scientists and scholars from around the globe to discuss advances in rare earth research. Representing Kanya Maha Vidyalaya were Dr.Neetu Verma, Associate Professor in Physics, and research scholar Ms.Anchal Pathania. Dr.Verma was invited as a Guest Speaker—an honor reserved for distinguished experts—and was among the few women scientists to address the conference; her presentation on advanced materials research received wide appreciation. Ms.Pathania earned the 3rd Best Oral Presentation Award for her research conducted under a government-sponsored Bhabha Atomic Research Centre BRNS project. Notably, KMV was the only institution from North India represented at ICSTAR-2025, highlighting its growing prominence in rare earth research and women’s leadership in science.
