The 9th National Handloom was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm by the Postgraduate Department of Fashion Designing, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. While addressing on the occasion of this day which shows the importance of promoting and spreading Swadeshi in the country, Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi said that K.M.V. Always moving towards popularizing handloom and handicrafts. Speaking further she said that we all should support the artisans so that they can get livelihood as they are not only stakeholders but also helping in reviving our rich cultural heritage.
Along with this he told that K.M.V. Budding is empowering the designers as entrepreneurs by providing them all the necessary skills in fashion designing to establish themselves in this era of self-reliance as well as competition. Along with this, he also appreciated the efforts made by Fashion Design Dr.Harpreet, Chairperson, Fashion Designing Department and group professors to celebrate this day.
