Visit to fish farm Kapurthala November 29, 2021

Program for the benefit of: To give knowledge about the fish farming.

Objective: To understand applied value of zoology.

Venue of the program: Govt. Fish Farm, Kapurthala

The students M. Sc. Zoology Sem III visited Govt Fish farm, Kapurthala on 29.11.2021 under the supervision of Dr.MandeepKaur and Dr. Prabha. The students visited seed production unit and culturing farm. The Balwinder Singh, Fishery officer described about different ponds used for production of fish seed. The students also learned about fish farm construction technology and dimensions of pond used for rearing of fishes. They also explained about nutritional value of fish and problems associated with fish farming. The students also learned about new advances in pisciculture.
