M.Sc. Zoology is a post graduate programme which provide students with the opportunity to study Animal life in all its Diversity & includes structures, Embryology, Evolution, Classifications, Habits & Distribution of all animals, both living & extinct. It also provide them with a suitable foundation for careers in Teaching, Research, Conservation of endangered species & Biological control of pests etc. It emphasizes a mix of modern molecular Laboratory expertise, Practical field skills & traditional Taxonomy. This course is much in demand offering lucrative job opportunities abroad also.

Eligibility

  • B.Sc. (Medical) with 50% marks with Zoology as one of the subjects.

    Students can opt any one of the following interdisciplinary optional courses

    • IDEC-1101 – Communication Skills
    • IDEM-1362- Basics of Music (Vocal)
    • IDEH-1313- Human Rights and Constitutional Duties
    • IDEI-1124- Basics of Computer Applications
    • IDEW-1275- Indian heritage: Contribution to the World

    *Credits/Grade points of the courses will not be included in the SGPA/CGPA of semester.
