A team from Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar visited the villages of Loharan, Kingra, Susa, and Manak Dheri to encourage literacy and improve the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) among rural students, especially girls. The team interacted with students, parents, village women, and school authorities to spread awareness about the importance of higher education, career opportunities, and educational empowerment. Students were guided regarding subject selection, future educational pathways, and the benefits of continuing studies after school. Discussions with village representatives emphasized the need to support girls’ education and increase educational participation in rural areas. Informative awareness material was also distributed among villagers to promote literacy and educational development. The initiative received a positive response and successfully promoted educational awareness in the villages.
