Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) P.G. Department of Physics successfully organizedspecialized clinical and diagnostic internships for its undergraduate Semester V students. Designed to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom knowledge and real-world medical applications, the program provided students with valuable hands-on experience in medical imaging and diagnostic technologies across several reputed hospitals and diagnostic centers. During the training, participating students gained direct insight into advanced scientific instrumentation, medical optics, and interdisciplinary healthcare tools. They explored the operational mechanics and clinical uses of cutting-edge technologies, including CT scans, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), X-ray equipment, eye-testing apparatus, and specialized optical lenses. The initiative benefited students from both B.Sc. Non-Medical (Arshdeep Kaur, Jaisika, Reena Devi, Palak, Priyanjali, Yogita, and Harmanpreet Kaur) and B.Sc. Computer Science (Ramandeep Kaur, Jasmeen Kaur, Simran Kaur, and Manpreet Kaur). The practical attachments were hosted at key partner institutions, including Guru Nanak Hospital (Bhogpur), Mandav Hospital (Mandi, Himachal Pradesh), Akaal Hospital (Bhogpur), Civil Hospital (Tanda), and Super Scanning & Diagnostic Pvt. Ltd. / Joshi Hospital (Jalandhar).Commending the students and the P.G. Department of Physics, Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi highlighted the institution’s commitment to skill-oriented, experiential education. She emphasized that such practical exposure equips students with technical confidence, professional awareness, and a clear vision to pursue emerging career opportunities at the intersection of physics, optics, and healthcare technology.
