Inspires students to adopt innovative approaches for a greener future

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) Department of Botany, in collaboration with the KMV Eco Club organised a week-long environmental awareness campaign titled “Greenovation Week: Cultivating Ideas, Planting Futures”. The theme highlighted the integration of environmental consciousness with innovation and entrepreneurship, aiming to foster a sustainable mindset among students and the community. The campaign was organised to sensitize students about the pressing need for environmental conservation. As a key activity of the campaign, a Poster Making Competition was conducted to foster creativity and innovative expression of ideas related to environmental protection. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across different streams. The posters highlighted critical issues such as global warming, climate change, biodiversity conservation, sustainable living, pollution control, and the importance of planting trees. Students used vibrant colors, powerful messages, and thought-provoking illustrations to convey their concern for the planet and suggest solutions for a greener tomorrow. Winners were felicitated with certificates of merit, while all participants received certificates of participation as an encouragement for their efforts. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that this campaign served as a reminder of the responsibility each individual bears towards protecting nature. She further maintained that KMV reaffirms its commitment to continue organizing such initiatives in the future to inspire sustainable actions and foster a culture of ecological responsibility. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare and Dr Sandeep Kaur for successfully organising the campaign.
