Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) NCC cadets enthusiastically participated in the Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) held recently at Jalandhar Cantt. The 10-day camp, organized by the 2 Pb (G) Bn NCC Jalandhar in collaboration with the Indian Army, aimed to provide cadets with practical exposure to military life and training. During the camp, cadets underwent intensive sessions on drill, weapon training, first aid, communication skills, and leadership development. They also received valuable knowledge about the weapons and equipment used by the Indian Army. Various lectures and workshops were conducted by Army on SSB preparation, leadership qualities, and defense awareness, helping cadets develop confidence and discipline. This was the eligibility camp after which cadets will become qualified for BEE and CEE certificate examination. Principal Prof Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that such trainings are vital part of holistic education and appreciated Lt. Sufalica Kalia for providing such opportunities and activities so that girls can emerge as the future soldiers of the Nation. Commanding Officer Col. R.S Lehal appreciated the cadets’ dedication and lauded their excellent performance during the camp. He emphasized the importance of defense training and its relevance to developing strong, responsible citizens. Such training programs play a vital role in promoting holistic education and empowering young women to emerge as future leaders of the nation.
