Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a Mega Blood Donation Camp on its campus, witnessing an overwhelming and spirited response from the student community. The camp was conducted by the KMV Red Ribbon Club& Eco Club under the aegis of the Department of Student Welfare. The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, who lauded the noble spirit of the young donors and emphasised that blood donation is one of the highest forms of humanitarian service. She highlighted that such initiatives are essential in instilling a sense of social responsibility and empathy among students, aligning perfectly with the institution’s mission of holistic development and community outreach. During the drive, 87 units of blood were collected, with a large number of students stepping forward as first-time donors. Every volunteer underwent a preliminary health screening, including haemoglobin and blood pressure checks, to ensure clinical safety under the supervision of expert doctors. The donors were provided with refreshment kits and certificates of appreciation to recognise their contribution toward saving lives. The faculty members also participated actively, setting a leadership example for the youth. This successful drive once again underscored the KMV’s unwavering commitment to nation-building and selfless service to society. Prof. Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Ms Shikha Vashisht for successfully organising the camp.
