More than 300 participants from 25 Colleges& Universities of Punjab participate in the event
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)transformed its campus into a vibrant hub of creativity and intellect by hosting the Talent Carnival,” a prestigious Inter-College Competition. Marking the institution’s 140th year of glorious heritage, the event saw an overwhelming response, with more than 300 students from 25 prominent institutions across Punjabconverging to showcase their skills.The carnival was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee. The occasion was further graced by Honoured Guests including Dr. S.P. Gupta, Mr. Surjit Lal, Mrs. Shiv Mittaland Mrs. Neeru Kapoor who were accorded a floral welcome. The Talent Carnival featured a diverse array of competitions designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical talent. The events were categorised into five major streams:
Business and Economics:Highlights included Aap Ki Adalat, Brand Walk and a simulation of the World Economic Forum alongside innovative startup challenges like Dare to Develop.
Humanities:The campus resonated with cultural heritage through Folksongand Group Dancewhile students showcased precision in Bridal Makeup, Nail Art and On-the-Spot Photography, Poster Making and On-the-Spot Painting .
Sciences:Intellectual rigour was on display in Innovision: Science in Practiceand the highly contested Sudoku – The Mind Game.
Computer Science and Applications: Reflecting the modern era, students engaged inAI Treasure Hunt, AI Data Visualisation and Debuggingcontests.
Languages: The literary spirit was kept alive with a Literary Walk and the spirited Turncoat debate.
While addressing the gathering, Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi emphasised that KMV has always strived to expand the landscapes of learning. She remarked that this Talent Carnival is not just a competition; it is a platform for students to discover their individual skills and creativity. In our 140th year, we continue to blend heritage with new-age innovative programs, ensuring our students are prepared for global excellence. Dr. Sushma Chawla lauded the participants for their enthusiasm and the college for maintaining its status as the top-ranked college in Punjab. She noted that such inter-college interactions are vital for the holistic development and confidence-building of the youth. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were honoured for their exceptional performances. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of the whole organising committeefor the seamless execution of the mega event.
