Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous)& Department of Environmental Science of KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. Schoolin collaboration with KMV NEP SAARTHI celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of environmental responsibility. The event was organized around the theme “Our Power, Our Planet”, aiming to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting and preserving the Earth. Students participated whole heartedly in a range of engaging and creative activities. They showcased their artistic talents by designing vibrant and thought-provoking posters on themes such as saving trees, reducing pollution, and conserving natural resources. These posters conveyed powerful messages and reflected the students’ strong commitment towards environmental conservation.To further promote eco-consciousness, a plantation drive was held. Students brought a variety of plants from their homes, encouraging the practice of nurturing greenery and contributing to a cleaner, greener campus environment.A highlight of the celebration was the preparation of bird nests. Using eco-friendly and recycled materials, students crafted safe shelters for birds, emphasizing the importance of coexistence with nature and compassion for all living beings.Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi, delivered an inspiring message, urging students to become responsible citizens and take small yet meaningful steps towards environmental conservation. She emphasized that safeguarding the planet is a shared responsibility and encouraged everyone to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.The celebration concluded on a positive and inspiring note, leaving students motivated to contribute towards building a greener and healthier planet.
