The P.G. Department of Physics, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), Jalandhar in collaboration with KMV Anveshika centre, celebrated National Space Day on August 23, 2025, to honor India’s achievements in space science and technology and to inspire young minds toward scientific exploration and innovation.The event was marked by the enthusiastic participation of NCC cadets, faculty members, and students. The session began with a motivational and informative address by Dr.Neetu Verma, Head, P.G. Department of Physics. She delivered an engaging briefing to the NCC cadets, highlighting India’s space journey, with a special focus on recent missions such as Chandrayaan-3 and Gaganyaan. Dr.Verma emphasized the pivotal role of organizations like ISRO in positioning India as a leading space power and encouraged the cadets to develop a scientific outlook and dream big for the nation’s future. The event served as a platform to bridge scientific awareness with national service, reinforcing the values of discipline, curiosity, and patriotism among the cadets and students. It concluded with an interactive Q & A session, during which participants expressed keen interest in future space missions and career opportunities in astrophysics and aerospace sciences.
