The PG Department of Computer Science & Applications, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), Jalandhar, organized a workshop on “Graphic Design using Figma” with the objective of acquainting students with modern UI/UX design tools and industry-oriented design practices.

The workshop commenced with an introduction to the fundamental principles of graphic design, including layout composition, colour theory, typography, and visual hierarchy. Students were then familiarized with the features and functionalities of Figma, a widely used collaborative interface design tool. The session covered important aspects such as creating frames, working with components, developing design systems, and collaborating on projects in real time.

Through practical demonstrations and hands-on activities, students designed basic mobile application interfaces and website layouts, enabling them to understand the real-world application of design concepts. The workshop also introduced participants to essential UI/UX practices such as wireframing, prototyping, and user-centered design approaches.

The interactive session provided valuable exposure to current industry standards in digital designing and encouraged students to enhance their creativity, problem-solving abilities, and technical expertise.
