The PG Department of Computer Science & Applications, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), Jalandhar, organized an informative outreach session on the topic “Basics of Computer Networks” for +1 and +2 students with the objective of creating awareness about fundamental concepts of Information Technology and encouraging young learners to explore the field of computer science.

The session was conducted by Ms. Jasmine from the department, who introduced students to the basic concepts of computer networking in a simple and interactive manner. She explained various topics including types of networks such as LAN and WAN, essential components of a computer network, the concept of IP addresses, and the role of the internet in modern communication and daily life.

Through practical examples and engaging explanations, the students were able to understand how networks function and how devices communicate with each other digitally. The session also emphasized the growing importance of networking technologies in today’s technology-driven world and highlighted various career opportunities available in the IT sector.

The lecture proved to be highly interactive as students enthusiastically participated in discussions and clarified their queries regarding networking concepts and technological advancements.
