Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has solidified its reputation as a powerhouse of higher education by securing top positions in the prestigious India Today Best Colleges Survey 2026 for the eighth consecutive year. In the latest survey, KMV has been ranked first in Punjab for its Fashion Designing, BBA, and BCA programs, while also clinching the second spot in both the B.Com. and BA categories. This consistent recognition highlights the institution’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and its leadership role in higher education.Celebrating this major milestone, Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi stated that these rankings bear testimony to KMV being a premier brand name for quality education. As the first and only women’s college in the region to be bestowed with Autonomous status, the institution has successfully entered a higher league of learning. Prof. Dwivedi credited this success to the college’s progressive teaching methodologies, robust digital infrastructure, and its ability to secure top on campus national and international placements for its students, including high-paying roles across the USA and Europe. A key factor driving KMV’s success is its pioneering implementation of India’s New Education Policy (NEP), making it the first college in North India to do so. By introducing specialisedhonours and integrated programs with upgraded syllabi, the college ensures its students are equipped with essential 21st-century skills. This curriculum upgradation was achieved through collaborations with 140 leading academicians from India and abroad, alongside key industrial partners.
