Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) has been ranked among top colleges of India for eighth time in a row in the prestigious India Today Rankings (2026). In BBA, BCA & Fashion Designing, the college has been ranked first in the Punjab. Along with this, in B.Com. & BA, KMV has bagged second position among top colleges in Punjab with top rankings in many others including Mass Communication. Throwing more light on this singular achievement, Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV has added another feather in its highly embellished cap by laying claim to top ranking in Punjab & India in various categories. She further maintained that being the first & only women college to be bestowed autonomous status, KMV has entered the higher league of colleges and has also introduced many reforms in education in sync with New Education Policy. Prof. Dwivedi further maintained that such top rankings bear testimony to the fact that KMV is the brand name of quality education. These top rankings are achieved year after year because of progressive education, quality work and top national and international placements provided to the students by KMV. It is pertinent to mention that KMV is the first college in the whole of North India to implement New Education Policy of India by introducing honours programs and integrated programs in different streams with upgraded syllabi according to the needs of 21^st century. Moreover, KMV has utilised the digital technology to its maximum for its various teaching & learning endeavours and also works on the placement opportunities for the students by enabling them to bag placements in USA & Europe at high pay packages. All these USPs have been instrumental in making KMV the top- ranking autonomous college. At this juncture, Director KMV congratulated faculty, staff & alumni for their exemplary endeavour and hard work which has accounted to this singular achievement. She averred that the 140 academicians from India & abroad and our industrial partners have helped us in upgrading the syllabi according to the 21st century skills and KMV has opened pathway to the best standard in education & deserves to be ranked no. 1 year after year.
