Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, felicitated Sh. Chander Mohan Ji, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal and KMV Managing Committee, for his transformative leadership and vision. Revered as the “Mentor of Mentors,” Sh. Chander Mohan was honoured by the college Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi and faculty in recognition of his 3 decades of dedicated guidance that have propelled KMV to international acclaim. Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dwivedi described him as the soul and compass of the institution. She highlighted that under his three decades of visionary stewardship, KMV has transformed from a historic institution into a global pioneer of modern, value-based women’s education centre. She also recalled landmark milestones achieved under his direction, including KMV becoming the first women’s college in Punjab to earn Autonomous status, receiving Heritage Institution recognition from the Government of India, securing top national rankings by India Today, The Tribune and Outlook, and gaining prestigious DBT Star Status and DDU Kaushal Kendra grants to foster female research and skill development. In his address, Sh. Chander Mohan expressed heartfelt gratitude to the KMV fraternity and emphasised that true education lies in balancing rich cultural roots with progressive global technology. He noted that as the academic world navigates rapid digital evolution, the core responsibility of educators remains equipping young women with analytical minds, technological skills, and grounded moral values.
