Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) & KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School Department of Student Welfare organized an insightful and impactful seminar on “Drug-Free India” with the objective of sensitizing students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and inspiring them to lead healthy, purposeful and responsible lives. The seminar focused on creating awareness about the physical, psychological and social consequences of addiction while empowering students to make informed and positive choices.The seminar commenced with the students taking a solemn pledge in accordance with the directions issued under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA). Students actively participated in the “National Pledge Against Drug Abuse”, where in they pledged to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a healthy and drug-free society. The pledge activity provided an opportunity to sensitize students about the physical, psychological, social and academic consequences of substance abuse. The students also expressed their commitment to spreading awareness about the ill effects of drugs among their peers, families and society. The program started with a warm welcome to the esteemed dignitaries—B.K. Raj Yogini Sandhira Didi, B.K. Krishna Miglani, B.K. Kiran Ghai, B.K. Nancy and B.K. K.L. Miglani—by the Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. Addressing the students, Madam Director emphasized the importance of staying away from drugs and cultivating a healthy lifestyle. She sensitized the students to the devastating consequences of addiction and urged them to develop the strength and wisdom to make responsible choices for a brighter future. B.K. Krishna Miglani conducted an enlightening session on “Nasha Mukti”, guiding students on how to resist peer pressure, build self-confidence and seek timely support whenever they face challenges. Her insightful interaction encouraged students to understand that saying “No” to drugs is a positive choice and a powerful step towards a healthy life. B.K. Nancy also addressed the students with valuable insights and motivating thoughts. She encouraged them to embrace meditation and inner discipline as effective means of developing mental strength, emotional balance and a positive outlook towards life. In her concluding remarks, Madam Director motivated the students to become responsible and aware citizens who can contribute meaningfully towards building a healthy, empowered and drug-free India. She appreciated the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet (Dean, Department of Student Welfare and Head, PG Department of English), Ms. Anand Prabha (In-charge, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School and Head, PG Department of Mathematics) and the faculty members for their dedicated efforts in organizing the meaningful and impactful program.
