A Training session on Relaxation Techniques (Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Guided Imagery)

The P.G. Department of Psychology has organized a Six-Day Celebration of World Mental Health Day from 5th October to 10th October, 2020. The fourth day (08.10.2020) of this six-day celebration was marked by a Training session on Relaxation Techniques – Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Guided Imagery. The session was conducted by Dr. Radhika Gupta who is the Head and Assistant Professor, P.G. Department of Psychology, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. The session was conducted for duration of almost 2 hours in which both the relaxation techniques were discussed in detail. It was a practical session where the student themselves practiced these relaxation techniques. At the end of the session, the students interacted with the resource person and all their queries were satisfactorily answered. The session was attended by the faculty members and the P.G and U.G students of the department.
