Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (KMV), Jalandhar held a mock budget. It was presented by the PG department of economics as a part of EcoEcho Fest. The fest also included Rangoli and choreography on the prevailing economic scenario of the country. Participants played out the process of budget presentation with students living up the various Characters – Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Home Minister. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the mock budget which helped them to understand the process of budget presentation and developed critical thinking among them so that the students should be able to look at both sides of a coin. In Rangoli competition, 25 students participated and covered several pertinent issues like GST, girl education, international trade, inflation and unemployment. Students of B.Com. (Hons) Sem. Ill presented the choreography on economic problems.
