The Department of Sciences at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya in association with Innocent Hearts Eye Centre organized an expert talk on Eye Health Awareness on March 25, 2025. The session was delivered by renowned ophthalmologist Dr.Rohan Bowery, Director of the Eye Centre, who was warmly welcomed by Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi. Dr. Bowery explained the structure of the eye, common refractive errors such as myopia and hypermetropia, and modern corrective procedures including PRK with Excimer, LASIK (MEL 80), and SMILE. He highlighted advancements in refractive surgery that ensure safer, more precise, and painless treatments. Emphasizing that “Sight is a gift; caring for your eyes is a responsibility,” he also interacted with students to address their queries. The informative session was highly appreciated by the Principal and participants alike.
