The P.G. Department of Botany organized a SCI-VESTA programme on August, 2 to meet the developmental needs of students and to help them become happy, healthy and productive. These programmes increase self-esteem and improve the social skills of students, thereby contributing to their holistic development. These activities inspire students to participate in science and engineering programs at an early age. Unfortunately, many students are not always aware of the positive impact such activities have on their lives. So, the challenge is in convincing them to join different groups and participate in the activities. The key to improve participation is having engaging and fun activities.

Students from M.Sc. Botany gracefully introduced the themes of the games, to make the students understand the relationship between the components, mechanics and how they should act in games. The games were designed by all the faculty members and students of M. Sc. Semester III, Botany department to try to find something new so as to increase the interest of the players in the games. The games were divided into 5 categories such as quiz, shape of leaves, play with clay, mimicry of botanical words and botany puzzle. Around 200 students from the various departments of the college had participated in different games and out of these; the best players won the prizes.
