Renowned Indian experimental physicist and Padma Shri awardee Harish Chandra Verma conducted an inspiring workshop titled “Beyond the Equations: The Thrill of Physics with Prof. H.C. Verma” at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya on January 18, 2025. An emeritus professor of Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, he captivated over 500 students through engaging live demonstrations that simplified complex physics concepts.

KMV proudly hosts Punjab’s only Anveshika Centre under Indian Association of Physics Teachers as part of the National Anveshika Network of India (NANI), promoting hands-on scientific inquiry. The interactive workshop emphasized observation, critical thinking, and experimental learning, allowing students to actively participate and ask questions.The event also featured the LEPTON (Learning Physics through Nature) experimental video quiz organized by Dr.Harleen Singh and an expert talk on quantum networks by Dr.SangeetaPrashar during the celebration of International Quantum Year, making the program both enriching and memorable.
