The PG Department of Computer Science & Applications, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous), Jalandhar, organized a Poster Making Activity on the theme “Nasha Mukt Samaj” with the objective of creating awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a healthy and addiction-free society.

The event was conducted outside the IT Department premises, where eighteen students enthusiastically participated and showcased their creativity through meaningful handmade posters carrying strong social messages against substance abuse. Through their artistic expressions, the students highlighted the importance of leading a disciplined, healthy, and socially responsible life.

The programme commenced with an oath-taking ceremony led by Dr. Ekta Saini from the Department of Philosophy, who encouraged students to actively contribute towards building a drug-free society. The event was organized under the guidance of Dr. Suman Khurana, Head of the Department, whose continuous motivation inspired active student participation in the awareness campaign.

Worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi visited the venue and appreciated the sincere efforts of the students in spreading awareness regarding such an important social issue. The activity successfully combined creativity with social responsibility and reflected KMV’s commitment towards holistic education and value-based learning.
