Dr. Sonik Bhatia and Dr.Harleen Singh, Assistant Professors, PG Department of Physics, KMV Jalandhar, accompanied by Prof. Jaswinder Singh, President, IAPT Regional Council RC02, ceremoniously handed over the Physics Mashal to Mr. S. Satbir Singh, symbolizing the spirit of knowledge and scientific inquiry. The day witnessed a host of engaging activities. The highlight of the event was the enthusiastic participation of the students, who showcased a range of innovative experiments and creative models. Their projects reflected creativity, scientific curiosity, and practical application of classroom concepts, inspiring their peers to think beyond textbooks. Adding to the excitement Prof. Jaswinder Singh conducted an Experimental Workshop, which emphasized hands-on learning and inspired students to explore scientific concepts through practical experiments.
Further enriching the event, Dr.Harleen Singh introduced the students to the National Anveshika Experimental Skill Test (NAEST) — a unique Physics competition that assesses both theoretical understanding and experimental skills. He also familiarized them with the LEPTON program, an innovative video-based quiz initiative conceptualized under the guidance of Padma Shri Prof. H.C. Verma, aimed at fostering curiosity and analytical thinking among young learners. The event not only ignited scientific enthusiasm among the students but also strengthened the vision of the Anveshika Bharat Yatra — to promote experiential physics learning and nurture a spirit of scientific inquiry across the nation.
