Final-year M.Sc. students—Nandita Thakur, Harmeet Kaur, Priya, and Simranjeet Kaur—from the P.G. Department of Physics at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya attended a two-day hands-on instrumentation training program at the University Science Instrumentation Centre from March 17–18, 2025. The workshop provided practical exposure to advanced analytical techniques relevant to Material Science, bridging theory with real-world applications.
Students received training on sophisticated instruments including DTA, TGA, DSC, SEM, XRD, BET Surface Area Analyzer, Single Crystal XRD, UV-VIS-NIR Spectroscopy, ICP-MS, TEM, NMR, VSM, and Photoluminescence techniques under expert guidance. The program concluded with an interaction and group photograph with the Director of USIC, Dr. S. Murugavel.This enriching experience reflects KMV’s strong commitment to research-oriented learning and academic excellence under the leadership of Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi.
