Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a workshop on “CV Building” under the aegis of the Career Counselling & Placement Cell, headed by Mrs. Suman Khurana, Head, PG Department of Computer Science & Applications. The session was conducted by Ms. Vandana Raheja, Senior Business Development Manager – University Canada West.

Ms. Raheja explained the key differences between a Resume and a CV, and guided students on essential components such as contact details, educational background, skills, accomplishments, objectives, and co-curricular activities. She emphasised the importance of highlighting leadership, problem-solving abilities, projects, teamwork, and strong communication and technical skills.

She also introduced the 5 P’s of a Resume—Painless, Perfect, Page, Paper, and Position—and encouraged students to pursue certifications or dual degrees to gain a competitive edge. The workshop witnessed an overwhelming response with over 400 students in attendance.

Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated the efforts of the Placement Cell and encouraged more such skill-enhancement initiatives to prepare students for the competitive job market.
