Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous and Heritage Institution)Post Graduate Punjabi Department successfully organized a week-long celebration dedicated to International Mother Language Day. The program was designed to promote respect, publicity, and the expansion of the Punjabi mother tongue. The week featured a variety of activities, including essay writing, speech competitions, poetry recitation, calligraphy, poster making, and slogan writing. Additionally, the event included Punjabi signature campaigns and concluded with a rally. The primary objective of these events was to acquaint the younger generation with their rich heritage and the profound importance of Punjabi literature and language. Students participated with great passion and enthusiasm, expressing their deep love and respect for their mother tongue. During the celebrations, Director Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi extended her congratulations and emphasized that language serves as our identity. She remarked that we must remain connected to our linguistic roots and stay honest with our culture, literature, and language to achieve future progress. The celebration concluded with Dr. Dwivedi honoring the winning students from various competitions and congratulating the Post Graduate Punjabi Department for the successful execution of the program.
