KMV Celebrates World Athletics Day to Foster Leadership and Fitness Among Youth

KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School under the aegis of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya and Department of Physical Education celebrated World Athletics Day to promote Indian and International sports and exercises among youth. Various competitions like Rope Skipping, 50 mt. Race, Lemon Race, Sack Race and Tug-of-War took place during the event. DirectorProf. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all the participants for their dedication, discipline, and commendable efforts on the playground. Addressing the students, she stated that sports and physical activities are essential for maintaining a healthy body and a balanced mind. She motivated the students to participate actively and wholeheartedly in such activities in the future as well, as they contribute significantly to confidence building, leadership qualities, and overall personality development. Madam Director lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet (Dean, Student Welfare and Head, PG Department of English), Ms. Anand Prabha (Incharge, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School) and Dr. Davinder (Head, Department of Physical Education) for successfully organizing the whole event. The winners of the various competitions were awarded with medals.In rope skipping competition, Tamanna (+1 Arts) bagged first position, Parneet (+1 Arts) got second position and Manjot (+2 Medical) remained third. In 50 mt. race, Jasmine Kaur (+2 Commerce) bagged first position, Parneet (+1 Arts) got second position and Sheetal (+1 Arts) remained third.  In Lemon race,  Anjali (+1 Arts) bagged first position, Neha (+2 Non. Medical) got second position and Anshita (+2 Non. Medical) remained third. In Sack race, Princi ( +2  Medical) bagged first position, Angel (+1 Arts) got second position and Wahenoor (+1 Non. Medical) secured third position.
