KMV Celebrates World Ozone Day Organises Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Rangoli Making & Short Video Competition for the Students

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage & Autonomous institution, Seat of Women Empowerment with Top National and State Rankings by India Today Survey of Best Colleges 2020 (various categories)organised Poster making, Slogan writing, Rangoli making & Short video competition to celebrate the World Ozone Day. The theme for this year’s World Ozone Day is ‘Ozone for Life’. The event was organised jointly by the Department of Student Welfare & Department of Environmental Sciences. The competition was held online in which more than150 students from various streams of college & collegiate participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students made beautiful and thought provoking rangolis, posters, slogans & videos at home on the given theme. The main purpose of organising this event was to make the people aware about the ozone depletion and its effects on the environment. During the competition, students accentuated many issues like save ozone, save earth &  protect our earth etc. through their posters, rangolis& slogans. Principal Prof Dr Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that we at KMV gives utmost priority to the environment conservation along with sustainable development and we also motivates the students to spread awareness about this cause in the society so that the younger generation should feel their responsibility towards the society. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare, Mrs Sadhna Tandon, Head, Department of Zoology & EVS and Ms Sufalica for successfully organising the event.
