KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec School under the aegis of KMV’s Institution Innovation Council (IIC) celebrated National Technology Day to acknowledge the contributions made by researchers, engineers and scientists to the society. On this occasion, various events were organised in which the collegiate students (Humanities/Commerce/Sciences) participated with full zeal. A motivated lecture was delivered by Dr. Neetu Verma, Head, PG Department of Physics to foster the spirit of entrepreneurship and startups in the young minds. She emphasized that there are no limits to what we can accomplish except the limits we place in our own thinking. The visits to various startups such as Retail Lab, Cosmetology Lab, Innovation Hub and Home Science Lab were also organised to inform the students about the growing global opportunities. The competition on ‘Best out of Waste’ was the main attraction as the students prepared working models with waste material. They prepared innovative models on the theme ‘Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science and Innovation for VIKSIT BHARAT’. It also encouraged creativity and innovation in the students to turn the waste materials into something useful. The students also participated enthusiastically in ‘Poster Making Competition’& showcased their creativity by making beautiful posters based on the theme. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet (Dean, Student Welfare and Ms. Anand Prabha (In-charge, KMV Collegiate Sr. Sec. School) and the Collegiate staff for organising such innovative and informative events and averred that students must be motivated to take part in such endeavors.
