KMV Hosts Vibrant ‘Litmania 2025’ Literary Fest; Students Shine in Innovative Stage Acts and Performances

Event Date

October 11, 2025

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya hosted its much-awaited annual literary fest “Litmania 2025”, celebrating creativity, expression, and the timeless power of literature. The event brought together students from various departments to showcase their talent through performances, recitations, dramatisations, and interactive literary acts. This year’s Litmania featured a range of innovative enactments and performances that reimagined classic literary works with a modern twist. Notable stage presentations included “The Bard on Trial: Shakespearean Women Against Shakespeare,” a mock court case exploring the portrayal of women in Shakespeare’s plays; “The Tea Party: A Crossover Skit,” blending iconic literary characters in a humorous setting; “Waiting for Godot,” a thought-provoking performance highlighting existential themes; “All My Sons,” capturing the emotional depth of Arthur Miller’s drama; and “Julius Caesar,” a powerful recreation of Shakespeare’s political tragedy. In addition to these stage acts, students also recited poems and sang songs that reflected their love for literature and art. Their performances added a lyrical and expressive dimension to the event, making it both engaging and emotionally rich. From enactments to poetry slams and character parades, every presentation reflected the students’ deep engagement with literature and their creative interpretation of classic texts. The event was inaugurated by Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi, who appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and highlighted the importance of literature in shaping creative and critical thinking. Faculty members, along with an energetic student audience, contributed to the lively and inspiring atmosphere throughout the day. The event also recognised outstanding performances and artistic contributions. Radhika won praise for her remarkable portrayal of Shakespeare, while Bhoomi Bali impressed the audience with her striking act as Pennywise. The talented trio — Chandramukhi, Divya Goroti, and Rashampreet Kaur — were appreciated for their beautiful and expressive paintings, which added a creative visual touch to the literary celebration. Principal Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that Litmania 2025 served as a vibrant platform for young minds to express their literary imagination while developing confidence, teamwork, and communication skills. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, leaving everyone inspired to continue exploring the world of words and ideas. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Head, PG Department of English and faculty members of PG Department of English for successfully organising the event.
