Students deliver insightful presentations showcasing the use of statistics in real world scenarios

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) to commemorate National Statistics Day organized a PowerPoint Presentation Competition. The event was organised by PG Department of Mathematics. Centered on the theme “Applications of Statistics,” the event aimed to emphasize the vital role that statistics plays across diverse sectors such as economics, healthcare, sports, business, and the social sciences. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from both undergraduate and postgraduate students from various departments. A total of six shortlisted teams delivered insightful presentations, showcasing the practical use of statistics in real-world scenarios. The participants impressed the audience and judges alike with their analytical thinking, innovative perspectives, and confident delivery. The event provided a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their grasp of statistical concepts and their relevance in contemporary society. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi commended the initiative and underscored the increasing importance of data literacy in today’s world. She lauded the efforts of Mrs. Anand Prabha and the department faculty for their dedication and commendable efforts in organizing an event that greatly enriched the students’ understanding of the subject.
