KMV organises traditional Amar Jyoti function to give a warm send off to its final year students

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organized ‘Amar Jyoti,’ a farewell ceremony for students completing their education in the current academic session. This ceremony, which leaves an impression of simplicity and purity, is an integral part of the institution’s glorious tradition. The prestigious event was graced by the presence of Chief Guests Prof. Amit Kauts, Professor, Department of Education, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Mrs. Deepa Kauts, Head, Department of Education, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Other distinguished attendees included Dr. Sushma Chawla, Vice President, KMV Managing Committee, Dr. Sushma Chopra, Secretary, KMV Managing Committee,     Mr. Dhruv Mittal, Treasurer, KMV Managing Committeealong with Dr. Deepali Luthra, Mrs. Shiv Mittal, and Mrs. Neeru Kapoor, Members from the KMV Managing Committee. Following the lighting of the lamp, Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi welcomed the guests, noting that the ceremony perfectly reflects the institution’s balance of modernity and tradition. She paid homage to the historic land of KMV—a centre for progressive education and Indian culture—and wished the departing students success, hoping the education they received, aligned with the New Education Policy and international standards, would lead them to new heights. Chief Guest Prof. Amit Kauts addressed the students, stating that the success of an educational institution lies in creating an environment where values and life skills are naturally absorbed rather than just taught. He expressed his delight that KMV embodies such an environment and encouraged the women to prepare themselves for their vital roles in the upliftment of family and society with honesty and purpose. During the event, students expressed their emotions through traditional songs like ‘NamoDeshBhumi Namaste Namaste’ and ‘Jai Jai Janani Jai Jai Mata,’ and shared heartfelt memories of their time at the college. Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi gave her blessings to the graduates by applying the ‘Tilak’. The ceremony also honoured senior faculty members Dr. Gurjot and Dr. Neeraj Maini for their dedicated service to the institution. Additionally, the guests released several publications, including the PG Hindi Department’s annual journal ‘Unmeelan: Shodh aurSrijan,’ as well as the ‘ECA Newsline’ and ‘Sports Newsline’.Madam Director lauded the efforts of Dr. Madhumeet, Dr. Shalini Gulati, Dr. Poonam Sharma, and the whole organising committee for successfully organising the function.
