Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Cancer Day. The celebrations were organised by Red Ribbon Club under the aegis of Department of Student Welfare. During the celebrations, various activities namely slogan writing, awareness lectures, PowerPoint presentation & poster making were organised in which students of various departments of the college participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Students through their slogans and posters have presented the symptoms, causes, types and prevention of the dreaded disease like cancer as well as also made awareness videos on its causes & prevention. On this occasion, students also distributed red ribbons in order to spread awareness in the society. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the students who participated in these activities. She averred that these kind of activities play a vital role in spreading awareness about various health issues. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Mrs. Shikha Vashisht, Head, PG Department of Botany for organising the celebrations.
