Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) organised a Poster Making Competition to mark the birth anniversary of Munshi Premchand. The main objective of this competition was to familiarise students with Premchand’s monumental literary contributions and to awaken sensitivity among the youth toward his timeless works. Students participated in the event with great enthusiasm, beautifully depicting the core themes of Premchand’s life and literature on canvas through colours and lines. The posters crafted by the students vividly portrayed social evils, the struggles of peasant life, and human emotions. Appreciating the efforts of all participants, KMV Director Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi stated that the literature of Munshi Premchand serves as a mirror to Indian society. She added that such competitions not only provide a platform for students’ artistic talents but also deeply connect them with the Hindi language and great literary figures. Dean of Languages and Student Welfare Dr. Madhumeet, Dr. Manju Sahni, along with Hindi Department faculty members Dr. Roopika Sharma, Dr. Anu shobha, and Ms. Ranjana were also present on this occasion.
The results of the competition were as follows: Diya secured first place, while Ankita Jain and Arshnoor Kaur shared second place. The third position was jointly awarded to Tajinder and Harleen Kaur, and Rajveer Kaur received the consolation prize.
