Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) PG Department of Punjabi organised an extension lecture in observance of the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Dr. Sarabjit Singh Mann (Associate Professor, Central University of Punjab, Bathinda) participated in the event as the keynote speaker. Welcoming the subject expert, Prof. Dr. Atima Sharma Dwivedi stated that the martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is unparalleled and serves as the supreme example of renunciation and sacrifice for the protection of others. She remarked that our society and culture have been preserved solely due to such great souls. Subsequently, the Music Department performed a Shabad Gayan dedicated to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Interacting with the students, Dr. Sarabjit Singh Mann provided a detailed description of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s martyrdom and beautifully presented his social contributions. Concluding the event, Prof. Dwivedi thanked the guest speaker and congratulated Dr. Harpreet (Head, PG Department of Punjabi) and the entire department for the successful organization of the lecture.
