KMV sensitises students on environment through World Ozone Day celebrations

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) celebrated World Ozone Day. The event was organised by Department of Zoology & Environmental Sciences in collaboration with Eco-Club under the aegis of Department of Student Welfare. Every year college grabs opportunity to sensitise students and institutional faculty regarding this vital environmental issue. On this occasion, KMV organised Poster making competition and two sessions aimed to spread awareness about the critical role of the ozone layer in sustaining life on earth, to discuss the science behind ozone depletion and to explore global efforts and technological innovations for its recovery. More than 50 students participated in this event with full zeal and enthusiasm to showcase their creativity. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi graced the occasion with her presence and lauded the efforts of the students and teachers for their participation and efforts. She averred that it is the social responsibility of every citizen to make the environment clean and green. She further maintained that it is very important that younger generation should be made responsible towards the environment conservation. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dean Student Welfare Dr. Madhumeet Kaur, Dr. Archana Saini, Head of Zoology and EVS department, Dr. Mandeep Kaur, Department of Zoology, Dr Sandeep Kaur, Incharge Eco -club, Lt. Sufalica Kalia, Department of Environment Science& Associate NCC Officer, Dr. Karina & Ms. Ipshita Dhiman, Department of Environment Science for sensitising the students and making the event a big success.
