KMV Successfully Concludes One Week Long Awareness Campaign to Commemorate Blood Donation Day

Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous & Heritage institution, Ranked No1 in India by India Today Ranking, 2019 has always been at the forefront in organizing various social welfare activities for the betterment of the society. In an another initiative, KMV successfully concluded one week long awareness campaign to mark the celebration of Blood Donation Day. The awareness campaign was organized by Red Ribbon Club and Student Wellness Club under the aegis of Dept of Student Welfare. During the whole week, an outstanding awareness campaign was carried out by the students so that people should be motivated to donate their blood and should be able to contribute more to this noble cause. During the awareness campaign, various activities such as Poster Making, Poetry Recitation, Slogan Writing & Meaningful Videos etc. were executed by the students to spread the message of importance of blood donation. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi averred that KMV has been organizing blood donation camp annually in order to mark the celebration of Blood Donation Day, but this year due to the lockdown restrictions we were not able to organize the camp at college. She further maintained that this type of awareness activities are essential to ensure that all individuals and communities have access to affordable and timely supplies of safe blood as an integral part of universal health coverage. Madam Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare & Mrs Sadhna Tandon, Incharge Red Ribbon Clubfor organising this awareness campaign. The students organisers who made the most contribution to this awareness campaign were Palak, Harmanpreet Kaur, Diksha & Ankita and they were tremendously appreciated by Principal Prof Atima Sharma Dwivedi for this philanthropic act.
