Emerges as the State Topper in the Examination
Kanya Maha Vidyalaya (Autonomous) always motivate its students to achieve new heights. In an another major achievement, two students of the P.G. Department of Physics, brought laurels to the institution by showcasing outstanding performance in the National Graduate Physics Examination (NGPE) 2026, a prestigious national-level examination conducted by the Indian Association of Physics Teachers (IAPT). The examinationwitnessed participation from 3092 candidates across 151 centres all over India, making it one of the most competitive platforms for undergraduate physics students.Undergraduate Physics student Ms. Shruti Chandel from B.Sc. Non Medical Semester II, secured the distinction of being a statetopper, placing among the top 1% of 209 candidates in Punjab. Ms. Tamanna , another Physics student from B.Sc. Computer Science semester II, secured a position among the centretop 10%. Their exceptional performance highlights academic excellence, dedication, and deep understanding of physics. In addition, several other students from KMV performed commendably reflecting the strong academic environment and consistent efforts of the students and faculty members.Director Dr (Prof) Atima Sharma Dwivediextended her heartfelt congratulations to the achievers and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in national and international platforms. She averred hat participation in such national-level examinations plays a crucial role in enhancing analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific temperament among students. She also appreciated the dedicated efforts of Dr Neetu Verma, Head PG Department of Physics and Physics faculty in guiding the students.
